So I have gotten around 1k gold saved up for Dez’s mount. When she heard this she is getting more excited for it. I have started doing the Netherwing dailies and it is nice to have a change of dailies. I was getting tired of just doing ogrila, skyguard, and shattered sun. Today I was bored at work and started reading the comic Ctrl-Alt-Del and found it hillarious. It can be found here: http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/
So it happened….
•May 16, 2008 • 1 CommentThe guild fell apart. They decided to reform into another guild. We chose not to follow their path. We have been in 3 guild reformations that ended up falling apart within 3-4 months of the reform. So we have joined Six Sigma, they are a raiding guild but have accepted me as a casual player and don’t expect me to raid, they let me in to be with my wife (Dezdemone), her parents and all of our friends that were in our old guild. This guild seems promising, they have only been formed for a couple of months and they are already through Gruul and Mags and working on SSC & TK. Well on a positive note, I got the 5K G and got my Epic Flight Form. Big thanks to Dezdemone, Tiiton, Murrlin, and Eeshken for the help. Now to get Dez her’s.
So I have come to the conclusion……
•May 14, 2008 • 4 CommentsThat I am no longer and probably won’t ever be again a dedicated hardcore raider. It just stresses me out too much. Makes me a person who I don’t like being. So instead of trying to be something I am not, I am going to play they way I want to play. Do what I want so that I have fun. It may be the combination of the what is also happening at work, and with the guild. The guild is more than likely on it’s way down. It has had a long slow painful death IMHO. They keep getting the extremely inexperienced players without any gear and wonder why we can’t down Gruul and move on. Oh Well, I am not going to worry about it anymore. I will just follow my wife as a social player, maybe go on a raid if I am in the mood and they need me, but otherwise just do what I want.
Balance, What Balance?
•May 12, 2008 • 1 CommentAnother topic (Sorry ahead of time, this is a vent post), it seems that some people think that because a druid is considered a “Balance” class that they can do anything whenever it is needed. Would you go to Gruul with a Resto Druid as the main tank? The issue has come up time and time again and what other players need to realize is that: yes, Druids have the ability to fill many roles, but are they geared and have the right spec for this. You wouldn’t want a Feral Druid as a primary healer, or a Resto Druid as your main tank or Primary DPS. So in the end, when you take a Druid to a instance or a Raid, make sure you know what spec they are and what they are able to do.
So this is an interesting day……
•May 10, 2008 • 2 CommentsSaturday, usually reserved for the day to grind dailies, run heroics, but not today. Had to come in to work. Not that I completely mind, I am getting paid overtime, but sitting and watching files move is like watching paint dry. It’s funny, as you watch the time remaining you see it go down, then up, then down, then up, it’s like come on Bill, setup the count down so it can be accurate. Oh, well that’s Microsoft for ya.
Enough Already!!!!
•May 9, 2008 • 1 CommentI have to say one of biggest peeves playing a Druid is the constant whispers “Spec?”. I am ok with one or two an hour, but every 5 minutes getting asked, it’s like ENOUGH. Most of the time nowadays I just put my DND flag up saying “Feral and Probably Not”. I understand it is a pain to look me up in the armory, but jeez the same person asking me 3 times in 15 minutes. It is the same as on my priest. Half the time they are standing right in front of me while I am in shadow form and ask me what spec I am. Anyhoo, here is my first blog. My wife got me interested in it.
